It’s never too late to enjoy the many health benefits of yoga. This is a gentle beginner yoga class designed especially for individuals ages 60 and up. Yoga postures will be adapted to suit individual needs, so all can benefit from the practice.

Participation in this class will offer you an opportunity to:

·         improve your ability to balance;

·         increase your strength and flexibility;

·         expand your lung capacity;

·         reduce stress and muscle tension;

·         experience inner peace

Whether you are just starting with yoga, or wish to experience more of its benefits, no matter what your age, current level of fitness, or knowledge of yoga, this is the perfect class for you.

Poses can be performed on the floor; standing; or seated in a chair. Modifications will be taught and props may be used to ensure your safety and comfort!

Bonnie’s encouragement and gentle, friendly nature will inspire you to use yoga to enhance your health, joy and sense of well-being. She is registered with Yoga Alliance as an experienced yoga teacher (E-RYT 500), having taught over 2,000 hours of yoga classes. Bonnie is registered as a certified yoga therapist (CYT) and received special training for Teaching Yoga to Seniors from Duke University School of Integrative Medicine in Durham, North Carolina.
